Injection Unit of the Plastic Molding Machine
The used plastic materials recycled and reused again in the usable format as per the requirements. But it is not a commercial process. It is one of the industrial processes that have to be accomplished by industrial engineers and technicians. The plastic materials crushed into a defined size according to the requirement using the Plastic Crusher. So, then the pellets are sent to a machine called the injection molding machines for the new molding formations. The injection unit of the machine helps to send the heated mold into the cavities. This part of the machine consists of:
- Hopper Loader
- Dryer
- Reciprocating screw & barrel
HOPPER LOADER
The loader is to transform the crushed materials into the loader through the suction pipe via a connection hose. Likewise, the suction pipe can able to suck the materials from the bin along with a distance of about 4 meters. The capacity of the loader is enough to load the plastic granules and is of stainless steel material. Hence the hopper loader of the machine works under the control of a carbon brush motor with the suction pressure defined by the user.
The loader consists of two types:
- Self-Contained hopper loader
- Separated hopper loader
Self-Contained Model: The loader and the machines are connected together and are being displayed as a single product.
- YT-X300G model of loader runs at single-phase power supply
- YT-X400G model of loader runs at the three-phase power supply.
Separated Model: The loader and the machines are separated from each other and are connected externally. So the series of a separated model YT-X810G works at a three-phase power supply.
Therefore this unit loads the materials and then to the hopper dryer.
HOPPER DRYER
Then the hopper dryer of the injection unit helps to preheat the plastic granules at a certain temperature. It removes the moisture content from the pellets and gives the materials to the next part of the machine. The efficiency of the machine reduced when the material used before the preheating process (only if the material contains the moisture content).
The pre-heated materials then sent to the injection port of the reciprocating screw and the barrel.
RECIPROCATING SCREW AND BARREL
The reciprocating screw over the plunger was the screw’s ability to heat and mix the resin. The heating and the compaction pressures present to melt the material. So, the mold cavity transforms the plastics materials with the help of a hot runner controller.
Then the mold cooled and allowed to freeze at the required design format by using the functions of the clamping unit or the mechanical unit.
